This body of work is comprised of photographs of hoar frost that form for brief periods on the door of an unheated greenhouse in Alaska. These images attempt to capture the intricate and exquisite ice sculptures that nature creates. That this finely detailed artistic intricacy exists within a few square inches is magical. In my opinion, contemplating nature at a micro scale is as much a reflection of nature's grandeur as a normal view of the landscape. Images of water drops on windows were added as a thawed counter point.
